Earlier this week you were granted access to the UCPath Portal. The portal includes an Employee and Manager Self Service. Employee Self Service makes it easy for you to access your employee information and complete most employment-related transactions, e.g., view vacation balances or update direct deposit information. Manager Self Service allows supervisors and managers to view information, e.g., position information, for those they supervise.
This email outlines readily available resources that will assist you in learning how to navigate this important tool. We strongly encourage you to avail yourself of these helpful resources.
UCPath Center Overview
The UCPath Center is the transactional hub for human resources, payroll, benefits, general ledger, workforce administration and academic processes across the entire University of California system. Watch this short (4 minute) video to learn more about the UCPath Center.
UCPath Portal: Employee Resources
Faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to view and access the following UCPath resources:
- UCPath Employee Portal Video: Short (4 minute) video demo of the UCPath portal for all employees.
- Self Service Users Link: Simulation module that provides step-by-step instructions on how to review or update your: Personal information, e.g., mailing address; Payroll information, e.g., direct deposit; Benefit information, e.g., enroll in benefits due to qualifying event.
Instructions on how to access the Self Service User Link: from the portal, on the left-hand side menu click on the “Help/FAQ” link (last menu option), from the pop-up menu select the ‘Self Service Users’ link. On the left-hand side of the screen you can navigate through the various ‘employee actions.’ From the right-hand menu, the simulation module allows you to:
· “See It”: View page layout
· “Try it”: Simulate reviewing and/or entering information into the page
· “Print it”: Print step-by-step instructions on how to review and/or enter information
Manager Resources
In addition to viewing and accessing the employee resources, managers are strongly encouraged to view and complete the following:
- UCPath Manager Portal Video: Short (3 minute) video demo of the UCPath portal for UC managers and supervisor.
- UC Path: Manager Actions Course: This course is available in the UC Learning Center. It provides an overview and details for manager tasks in the UCPath portal.
To access the UCPath: Manager Actions Course, login to the UC Learning Center, using the Find a Course feature, enter the course name in the search box.
