After careful analysis and consideration, the UCPath Steering Committee and
Executive Leadership Team have approved a schedule change for Pilot campus deployment.
The target deployment has been moved from August to December 2017.
We have made steady progress across all work streams; however, a number of conversion and system defects remain that would impact Pilot payroll parallel testing. To ensure a successful deployment, we will perform an additional conversion cycle and provide time between test cycles devoted to issue resolution. Based on these changes, we no longer have an opportunity to plan for a cutover prior to the fall open enrollment cycle. The next available window for cutover is December; therefore, Pilot deployment has been extended to December 2017.
The Pilot schedule change is expected to affect subsequent deployments. At this time, the Deployment 1 Subcommittee is reviewing options before making a schedule recommendation. UCPath governance will make a decision regarding the Deployment 1 schedule and, if necessary, the Deployment 2 schedule by late March.
Ultimately, our top priority is a successful UCPath deployment. We are committed to continuous improvement and will leverage Pilot learnings and work products in subsequent deployments.
We are focused on minimising any impacts to the overall implementation schedule and will keep you informed of upcoming decisions.
